Role Overview:

Zurich Insurance is currently looking for a (Senior) Underwriter Financial Lines for Financial Institutions. As Underwriter Financial Lines you have a profound knowledge of Financial Lines liability insurance (Directors’ and officers’ liability, Professional Indemnity, Banker’s blanket bond and Fidelity insurance). You will help us to manage and maintain our existing book of business, with primarily focus on Financial Institutions accounts, and with the opportunity for growth in line with our strategy. You will work from the office in Zaventem, Belgium.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain and develop your portfolio with expertise in (Management) Liability insurance by proactively seeking renewal and new account opportunities in the financial sector.
• Evaluate and analyse the insurance risks for national and International Financial institutions
• Manage, develop and broaden contacts with (international) insurance brokers and service providers
• Support and promote the organization's products and services to increase the successful selling of our products in the related specific market
• Cross-sell other lines of business to increase product density with the account
• Initiate product development ideas and upon approval, actively contribute to the development and support the implementation of a new product offering
• Coordinate, follow up and process all administrative requirements regarding your customers and contacts where you work in a well-arranged manner with and on your files

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master in (preferably) Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-8 years of work experience in (Management) Liability insurance (knowledge and experience in other lines are an asset) or vested in the financial sector and relevant (insurance) or other financial experience.
• Profound knowledge of the banking/investment industry and familiar with the latest products, trading methodologies and investment strategies / asset classes
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and structured way of working
• Proven commercial performer, capable of working under pressure and 6- or 7-digit budgets.
